We’re part of a thriving little community in London who love Folk|Country|Blues|Live Music|Art|Photography|Books and have been on the block long enough (without being old) to know our way around and pop the highlights out there for others to share and enjoy.
Our site is about Listings|Reviews|Interviews|Exclusive videos|Images|Home-made Documentaries and anything else we think is related to the music we love. Our films are all made especially for this site unless they state otherwise and are made to get you closer to the music and artists we feature, whether we’re filming them in their kitchens, in their beds, in the studio and occasionally on stage, though we don’t like getting in people’s way.
We will also be featuring guest writers and photographers to keep perspectives fresh, and will be compiling playlists by our staff writers as well as guests in case you’re stuck in a musical rut and want to take a walk through someone else’s collection for some inspiration.
Our aim is to promote and share the rich talent that is blossoming in our clubs and put it in context with a healthy dose of film and photography thrown in the mix.
Our site is for you if you live here or are visiting and if you are a musician or a music lover (or both). We’ll keep you up to date on what’s going on where and keep you in the loop.
We also aim to link up with similar communities in the rest of the UK and around the world with an eye to sharing talent. So if you think of someone who might like this, go tell ’em.
Please read, use and pass on, just remember to post a link or credit the site so we can keep everyone connected.
Additionally if you are an artist coming to London feel free to contact us for advice on playing in London. We have a host of in-house skills, including Venue|Promoter Contacts|Our very own Tour Manager|Photographers|Film Makers|Marketing Advisers|Radio Contacts etc so drop us a line and we’ll see if we can help. Please leave a comment, we always love to hear from you!

Just come across your site. Very interesting. I am singer/guitarist in Bethnal Green. I am putting together small band to play old hymns, Old Timey and standards. Also call folk dances. Was caller with Irish bands for yonks. Now work mainly with churches but like to do ‘secular’ gigs as well. Very interesting. Please keep me on your blog.
I have one You tube called The Mayfly which is new words to old Irish melody. Google Mal Grosch The Mayfly. Best wishes MG
